Currently watching the Coffin Joe collection on DVD (not very Christmas-like, I know) and had to do something to commemorate it. I plan on doing something a lot more illustrated than this and already created a funky sketch with evil eyes and everything but when I started reproducing the sketch I liked the simplicity of the shapes. I have noticed there are a lot of illustrations of Zé do Caixão later on in his career when he is a lot more... bulkier, but very few of him from the first couple of movies (At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul and This Night I Will Possess Your Corpse) so this is Coffin Joe at his original and most camp. I HATE MELODRAMA!!!!

Smash Everything
I was asked by Tony The Pimp himself to create this cartoon and there was no way I could say no to that. Bobby Rhodes, most famous for having the greatest quotes of all time in Lamberto Bava's Demons and Demons 2 has long been an iconic hero of mine and to take up the challenge was a terrifying one. However It was so successful among Bobby and his fans that they are going to be printing t-shirts with my design on.
I confess that the pose is an improved version of Ash's from my Bruce vs Nathan illustration but wanted to rework it for a while now.
This illustration is going to be part of a Demons set so watch this space.
Demons is my second favorite franchise in the world (after Hellraiser) and needs to be seen and owned. Find Bobby Rhodes on Facebook

Lick My Plate
In honor of Arrow Film's release of the cult movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 I illustrated the greatest line (and by extension the greatest delivery) by Bill Moseley as "Chop Top".
If you haven't seen the film then you haven't lived and if you have then you'll want to grab a copy of the limited edition Arrow release as it's one of the most incredible packages to date. Check it out.
I'd love to animate this at some point but would want Bill Moseley to do the voice for it if I did.

Miss Liverpool Horror
Finding 7 beauty contestants from the Horror genre is a lot more difficult than it sounds. This was one of the last of the Liverpool Horror Fest posters and the 3rd to include a cenobite. I'll always kick myself for not putting a bucket on the floor next to Carrie and have her in her iconic pose but time, as is always the case, was a major factor.
Did you like my choices? Who did I miss?

Shaune Harrison
Another of the 12 posters created for the Liverpool Horror Fest. Shaune Harrison is one of the biggest special effects and makeup stars in the UK and took some time out from work on Game of Thrones to make an appearance, demonstrate his work and promote his new school.
Working on titles like Star Wars, Hellraiser 3, Sleepy Hollow, Harry Potter, Captain America and World War Z (to name a few) made this poster a complicated delight to work on.
This poster was one of the most popular of the festival with Shaune signing copies of them.

Evil Dead Live
Evil Dead Live was a unique musical experience from Songs About Death. Playing musical over both the original AND remake of Evil Dead simultaneously. The resulting sound, as you can imagine, was unsettling and worthy of the movies themselves.
Stalled
The 2nd poster for the Liverpool Horror Fest was of the festival circuit favorite ZomCom Stalled. The hit zombie movie of 2013 is currently enjoying a worldwide tour and receiving great success. Keep an eye open for this film.

Hellraiser
First of 12 posters created for the Liverpool Horror Festival. Hellraiser is my favorite film of all time and was a pleasure to create for the event. The poster was so striking that it was noticed by my hero and Hellraiser write/director Clive Barker who promoted both the festival and the artwork. Currently there is a custom printed copy on Clive Barkers wall.
"I have seen thousands of graphic representations of the Hellraiser demons over the years. This is one of the very best. What a witty, elegant stylization of Pinhead and the gang." - Clive Barker
Currently copies of the poster can be purchased from Society 6

American Mary
After the great reception I received from the Soskas on their Dead Hooker comic cover I created the American Mary comic. It was a fantastic opportunity to work in a Sin-City-esque style with the added benefit of some iconic characters.

Dead Hooker
Working for horror website HorrorTalk.com I was lucky to be given the opportunity to meet the Soska Twins on their UK American Mary tour. Knowing they were major fans of comib books and always wanted to be in a comic I created this fake comic cover adaptation of their first feature film Dead Hooker in a Trunk.
"Ilan Sheady is mad-stupid talented. I f**king adore the graphic novel style cover he did for DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK. AWESOME!!! -Sylvia Soska

Bruce vs Nathan
Illustration I created for cult movie writer Charlotte Stear. Her article on Nathan Fillion being the new Bruce Campbell on Den of Geek is one of the most popular on the site and I couldn't resist the opportunity to draw BOTH of the cult icons together. I plan on updating this image at a later date to include a background.
"Ilan Sheady’s talent is sickening, his detailed illustrations and sharp wit is always on form!" - Charlotte Stear
